The Beetle Cat is the foundation of the first year of the IYRS Boatbuilding & Restoration program. This classic American sailboat was originally designed in 1921.
The Beetle Cat has been meticulously restored by our talented students, showcasing their skills and dedication. It comes with a brand new sail and beautiful bronze hardware.
This is a wonderful boat for shallow waters, is very stable, and can be beached. The Beetle Cat is made entirely of wood and has a large carrying capacity.
With a single sail, it's ideal for youngsters - and the young-at-heart.
