Job Title: Student Services Associate
Supervisor: Associate Director of Career Development & Student Life; Associate Director of Financial Aid & Institutional Compliance

Primary functions and purpose of this position

The Student Services Associate is primarily responsible for student data collection and record
keeping, in accordance with compliance regulations of IYRS’ accrediting agency and other
entities such as the State of Rhode Island, Veterans Affairs, Department of Labor and Training,
etc. In addition, the Student Services Associate provides ongoing administrative support to
students, faculty, and other staff.

Major Responsibilities:
• Organize and manage all of the activities related to student records and registration,
including serving as the official authorized keeper of the school's student records
• Assist with compliance reporting as it relates to education, regulatory, and accreditation
requirements
• Facilitate collection of grades and creation of student transcripts and certificates
• Record and maintain student time and attendance reports in all programs, and respond
to student and faculty inquiries
• Responsible for inputting student data and maintaining student database
• Assist with student employment data collection and recording, i.e. timesheets,
employment verification, and student information per ACCSC standards

• Support student life programs and organizations including monthly activities, student
council, and ambassadors
• Schedule and take minutes for twice yearly Program Advisory Committee meetings
• Assist in student activities planning and execution
• Additional support and ad hoc projects to both departments as needed

Required KSAOC’s (knowledge, skills, abilities, and other characteristics)
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Natural curiosity and passion for personal growth
• Ability to self-start and flexibility to work independently and as a team
• Exceptional communication skills via phone, email, and in-person
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and an eagerness to leverage technology
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Preferred but not required:
• Knowledge of compliance regulations as they relate to US Department of Education
Veterans Affairs, and/or accreditation agencies
• Higher education and/or non-profit experience
• Experience with data entry and CRM systems

Salary Range and Benefits:
$42,000 - $48,000
