Networking & Hiring Opportunities During COVID-19
While it has been a challenging time since March 2020, we have appreciated the support we have received from our partners in the marine and advanced manufacturing industries. You have continued to provide opportunities for our students to learn and have hired many of our graduates for full-time employment.
While we are are hoping to return to more in-person events and field trips, we have been blown away by how impactful the virtual events have been for our students and for hiring companies. It has opened opportunities for our students outside of Rhode Island and the surrounding areas and have connected students with employers, and employers with students from California to Maine.
Please see our virtual networking and hiring events listed below and submit the form to learn more.
As you may know, we offer five ACCSC-accredited programs: Boatbuilding & Restoration, Composites Technology, Digital Modeling & Fabrication, Marine Systems, and the Combined Composites Technology & Marine Systems Program. The students in each of these programs are required to complete an industry externship, and most are looking for full-time employment upon graduation. Our Career Development Department strives to connect graduating students with employers looking for talent.
If you are seeking full-time employees or are interested in hiring an IYRS student for externships, which can also be used as a trial period for full-time employment, the opportunities below are a great way to get started. Also, feel free to contact me anytime to discuss more!
