Networking & Hiring Opportunities During COVID-19
A letter to our industry partners from Mollie Williams, Career Development Manager
June 15, 2020
We at IYRS hope that you are staying safe and healthy during this challenging time. There is no doubt that we are all dealing with the effects of this new reality.
As many businesses begin to reopen, IYRS wants to support your company’s employment needs. Because in-person contact must temporarily remain limited, we are offering new, virtual ways in which you can learn more about our trade programs, what you can expect from our graduates, and how you can connect with our students. We look forward to the day when we can once again hold these events in person and we thank you in advance for your understanding and support.
Please see our new networking and hiring events listed below and submit the form to learn more.
As you may know, we offer five ACCSC-accredited programs: Boatbuilding & Restoration, Composites Technology, Digital Modeling & Fabrication, and Marine Systems. Upon graduation, most of our students seek full-time employment. Our Career Development Department strives to connect graduating students with employers looking for talent.
If you are seeking full-time employees or are interested in hiring an IYRS student for a month-long externship which can also be used as a trial period for full-time employment, I encourage you to take advantage of any or all of these opportunities.
Mollie Williams | Manager of Career Development
