Kevin McKiernan '02 named ABYC Foundation Educator of the Year
On January 31, 2023, the American Boat and Yacht Council Foundation (ABYC) named IYRS alumnus Kevin McKiernan '02 as their Educator of the Year. Kevin is a Marine Service Technology teacher at North Providence High School in Rhode Island and is known for his knowledge and ability to support, guide, and educate students interested in hands-on marine learning and a future career in the maritime trades.
Kevin was also honored with the IYRS Alumni Achievement Award in 2021.
