How IYRS Enjoyed The Solar Eclipse
IYRS faculty, staff, and students enjoyed a fun distraction with the solar eclipse on April 8th. Dean of Students Bill Kenyon provided us with viewing glasses, and Ben Sleeper DMF ’24 provided us with several sheets of cardboard with which we were able to see the eclipse in the alternative way. And we all enjoyed Moon Pies and Eclipse gum thanks to Student Services Director Jen Iacovelli! It was a fun, creative, and educational afternoon for everyone! We will also be donating our glasses via Astronomers Without Borders so that other people will be able to safely view upcoming eclipses in other parts of the world!
