IYRS Announces Partnership with BoatHowTo to accommodate diverse learning styles

IYRS School of Technology & Trades has partnered with BoatHowTo which provides in-depth educational videos lessons. This partnership will allow IYRS to supplement coursework and hands-on learning with a new independent learning format to accommodate a variety of learning preferences.

“IYRS is thrilled to join with BoatHowTo which has become a go-to resource for the boating community as well as marine industry professionals,” said Lisa Esposito, IYRS’s dean of education. “This video format will complement other independent learning resources students engage with to further their education.”

“We already use Nigel Calder’s textbook and are excited to bring his teachings to students in a new format,” said Dan Linder, lead instructor - marine systems. “We expect that students will enjoy seeing Nigel, Jan Athenstädt and other instructors’ words come alive and that this format of information delivery will resonate with students who prefer hands-on or other learning styles over textbook learning.”
