I’ve made it here and I feel like I’m making it here.

I’ve made it here and I feel like I’m making it here.

In 1985 I was born in southern California. From surfing in Jamaica to giving bicycle tours over the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, exploration has been a major part of my upbringing and life. Exploration has always brought me where I have desired to be. It’s explorations that led me to IYRS. In search of a skill set that would be out of my comfort zone and above my materials knowledge level, I chose the Composites Technology course.

As an Independent studies ceramic student my art teacher would always tell me to work larger. In Composites I’ve found a path to allow me to build anything from objects that are sent into space and to the fastest racing boats available.

When I first toured IYRS I knew I had to attend. I had a few obstacles in getting here. I did not let any of them stop me.

I’VE MADE IT HERE AND I FEEL LIKE I’M MAKING IT HERE.

I’ve taken the time to meet everyone I can in the Newport area and have made friends, business contacts, and even a mentor. I hope to use every quantum of my learning to propel me towards heights I feel I’ve yet to realize. I keep my mood mellow. I can ride horses. My favorite color is green. Hope to see you around campus.
