In this workshop, you will learn to cut and carve a topwater popper fishing lure from a piece of cedar. Participants will cut the rough shape on the bandsaw, carve the final shape with a spokeshave, put ballast weight in the bait, and finish by painting and clear coating. You will leave the shop with a finished "ready to fish" lure that you made yourself! 

This workshop is taught by IYRS alumnus Matt Thayer '18, owner of Klondike Custom Creations custom fishing lure company.
